June’s eBay share: Vintage Razza Ram head necklace.
I have a growing obsession for these huge animal head pendants by Razza; a real conversation starter. I’ve had my eye on the lion head in particular. After searching I’ve realized that this design is much more sought after and rare in good condition then the other heads. But, I was able to buy my Ram for $49 so look often for new listings to score a good deal because sometimes sellers just don’t know what they have.

Little is known about Razza and his company, other than: He began making jewelry in the 1950s; The figural metal and resin pieces that he is know for were made between 1968 and 1975 while working for the The Certified Corporation.  Luca Razza made many different types of metal and resin pieces in the late 60’s / early 1970s. The main ones are the Elephant, Lion, Owl, Bull, Ram, Goat, and Panda. He made all of these in small (approx. 1.5″) size pendants, large (approx. 3″ to 4″) size pendants, brooches, rings, and belts.

The panda is really cute. I have a weakness for pandas as that used to be my nickname. No way in the world would I ever want the scorpion. I can't stand scorpion jewelry or any representations of them. Maybe that's because I've seen to many of the real things in my house here in Mexico.

Is this aunt susy? The panda one is SO cute. I didn't know your nickname was panda, where did that come from?

ABOUT THE BLOG

Wright for Michele is a Portland based lifestyle blog devoted to cultivating stylish, relatable and creative content. It also serves as a personal time capsule of my family’s journeys, giggling and stumbling a bit, through it all.

I started "Wright for Michele" back in 2010 as a creative outlet and to share the things I love (basically the exact same reason the rest of the internet started blogging). Often this blog is about family, sometimes it’s about style, and in general it’s about life and how you (and me) can make every single area in it, better. It’s simple, it’s real (sometimes a little raw and almost always full of grammatical errors), it’s honest and hopefully no matter what it’s a little sweet.
