Last weekend Jeff and I visited The Portland Bazaar featuring Portland’s creative community held at the Sandbox Studios.

I was looking forward to dragging Jeff to this bazaar. I visited it last year and was hoping to find some great gifts again, unfortunately the product and vendors were almost an exact repeat of last year. The fun part was having a male with me this round… it’s amazing I didn’t notice the Butchery & Charcuterie Chop last year… [eyebrow raise]. He also found himself a manly Dopp Kit I’m handing over to santa to stuff into his stocking.

I found this cute little drawer table in my usual free, side of the road spot that will remain nameless. Same spot I found this earring holder I DIY’d. It just needed a little cleaning, new knobs and some stems. Extra long stems that is. Not a shocker but I purchased these pin legs off of eBay and had my little handy man put it all together.

Summer 2012 Aunt and Niece DIY art project. Taylor and I had a fun day of tie dying everything cotton in my house and painting all wood scraps all while under the once blazing ball called s u n. Some lacquer, household finds set into the lacquer and booop… free art.

Craving a getaway? I am. 
Ready. Set. Get the hell outa dodge and I’m bringing the above with me, again.  The days are shorter but somehow mine have gotten longer. In other words, no days off for me until the holidays.
WHAT. 
IS. 
HAPPENING. 
Off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 moments where self-appointed time-outs would have been a real decent thing to do, if only to preserve my status as a somewhat respectable human being. It’s been a wild week so far and fortunately I have a furry son reminding me with his blazing eyeballs that it’s time to retire for the evening. Until next time…

As much as I despise cheap, fast fashion I do love the ever so often cheap find, especially ones I know I’ll wear season after season, like this lil’peplum top above. Tobi.com offers 30% off all new arrival items but do note you get what you pay for. Although this peplum pleased me I’ve also been let down, and they do not provide free returns.

Pretty sure I ate too much and hope that you did, too. There’s always room for pumpkin pie with a side of espresso.  Today was as special as most days I get to spend with my family especially since there’s so many little ones around these days. I honestly do not know what my family did before there was toddlertainment around keeping us on our toes. I’m thankful for them and for Jeff and my super cute poochtainment. It’s obviously a much different feeling then raising little humans but there’s nothing like coming home to a hairy duo looking at you like your the most spectacular thing they’ve ever seen. I mean, I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s like for everyone that sees me everyday but…. I kid, I kid!

The nights young, keep the glasses toasting and the champagne flowing. Christmas music is in full effect 24/7.

Falling out of Summer

Before my computer broke down I had a stash of looks I wanted to post that my IT guy wrangled back to me recently and this outfit is reminding me of summer, which is hard not to miss right now with the daily torrential downpour. Christmas music isn’t even fixing the feeling of these dark wet days. Fortunately my New York trip was full of sunshine… pictures to post soon.
 
Thanksgiving is the day after tomorrow kids. It’s about sharing stories, sharing a meal & sharing the joys of being thankful for what we have. This year has been full of so many things to be appreciative of I often stop and think to myself how I got so lucky. I’m overwhelmed at how many lovely and supportive people I have around me it inspires me to be an even more amazing person to those people I love. 
 
In saying that, cheers to happiness, thankfulness and gratefulness.  Too many ness’s?
