Color Coded

Color Coded | Oxblood love

Nordstrom Blouse (similar)  |  J. Crew Cardigan  |  Forever 21 Skirt (similar)  |  Vintage Coach Handbag  |  Vera Wang Slip On Platforms

Peter pan collars and oxblood colors are currently being fancied overtime. I’ve been craving my winter wardrobe but am still hanging on tight to my non-sock wearing footwear. During the cold, wet months socks literally went unworn. I’d make them work with any skirt, pant, oxford, heel or boot. Now I’m weening myself off this pacifier! It truly limits my stomping assortment and I vow not to seasonally discriminate in my footwear selection again.

Ah, cleaning up my life. Spent my week cleaning up my house and this webspace. I’ve learned the importance of white space and how it eludes a classic, clean and rich appearance. That’s why I’ve turned to white in all aspects of my life. When Jeff and I bought our house in 2006 we made it a goal to paint every wall in color within the first few months we moved in. Since, we’ve made it a goal to paint every room back to basics; WHITE. Clean, classic and rich.

Today’s outfit

Okay, yah. For those of you who saw me today you’re right, it’s not today’s outfit but a couple of days ago. Today has a better ring then “the day before yesterdays outfit”.

This washed chambray shirt is the softest item in my closet. It’s so incredibly silky soft, drapey and the best shade of blue chambray. I loved it so much I bought it in the dress HERE and almost the tank HERE.

Dressing in colours of three! Don’t be shy, you can’t go wrong. Mix it up!

Shopping

Wright this down | Wants at-a-glance

Dress | Sunglasses | American Flag Sweater | Necklace | Handbag | Bootie | Jeans | Scarf | Moccasins | Sweater | Backpack | Life Notebook | Coat | Heels | Lipstick

I tend to get season happy which means style craving overload.
Crushing on these pieces currently. Bad habits need to be broken so this year I’ve created a folder to house photo’s of styles I’m currently fancying then glancing at them from time to time before making any decisions on the splurge. Basically by the time I go back and look at the item I’ve exhausted the excitement. It totally works. Well, not 100%, I did just buy the sunnies, from eBay though!

Exciting weekend ahead || Fashionxt, solestruck parties, corn maize, pumpkin patch… fall has arrived.

Personal Style

Outfit | Woodland sweatshirt

Backpacking adventure pretty much printed on jersey. Asos carries this sweater in many different prints, check them out.

So I’m pretty much worthless this week. I caught something that has made every joint in my body to ache, every swallow to sting and every noise to pound. I’ve only left the couch 4 times today for less then 5 minutes and I told myself I wouldn’t do it again each time. I’m a whiner when I’m immobile. I’m a bit bummed that I’m missing this beautiful weather.
Wish me luck for a speedy recovery or this could get ugly.

Travel

Wright this down | Goat Rocks Wilderness

Highlighted by wildflowers, an iced over Goat Lake and epic mountain views.

Thank you Jeff for sneaking a Bota Box wine into your pack. Cousins Kennedy and Kent for being the best backpacking team and Kennedy for literally bringing every food item never brought backpacking before. You saved me!

Goat Rocks Wilderness is a portion of the volcanic Cascade Mountain Range in SW Washington between Rainier and Adams. The Goat Rocks are remnants of a large Volcano, extinct for some two million years. PCT wanders through the middle of the wilderness. Goats wander these areas which we were able to catch with our binoculars from the lake.

ABOUT THE BLOG

Wright for Michele is a Portland based lifestyle blog devoted to cultivating stylish, relatable and creative content. It also serves as a personal time capsule of my family’s journeys, giggling and stumbling a bit, through it all.

I started "Wright for Michele" back in 2010 as a creative outlet and to share the things I love (basically the exact same reason the rest of the internet started blogging). Often this blog is about family, sometimes it’s about style, and in general it’s about life and how you (and me) can make every single area in it, better. It’s simple, it’s real (sometimes a little raw and almost always full of grammatical errors), it’s honest and hopefully no matter what it’s a little sweet.
